Caramelised Bread Crust Cake by Francesco Vincenzi

  • 200 gr Breadcrumbs
  • 200 gr Amaretti biscuits
  • 15 gr Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 150 gr chopped Chocolate
  • 300 ml Cream
  • 70 ml Sassolino
  • 16 gr Baking powder
  • 100 gr (any) Nuts

SERVES FOR 8

Whisk the sugar and the eggs together in a bowl until well mixed.
Add the cream and Sassolino liqueur, and mix.
Fold in the breadcrumbs.
Add the amaretti biscuits, chocolate, nuts and baking powder, and mix.
Pour the mixture into a greased cake tin.
Bake in the oven for around 35 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Serve hot or cold.
